Why It Is Relevant to International Publishing
Copyright in published works is protected across borders largely through treaties WIPO administers, notably the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works. WIPO's treaty texts, legal databases and dispute-resolution services are primary reference points when a review needs to understand how rights in a work may be recognized outside its country of origin.
